Should I tweak again (day 18)?? I have pads under the wire, and lined the wire with paper towels. They have soaked up the water from the pads, so the eggs are laying on wet towels. My humidity is 70%.

So do you want to keep the humidity up? Warm water in a spray bottle is good at hatchtime to add humidity. You can open the incubator to do this, I always have done. As long as the humidity is up with warm paper towels and spray bottle.

I just spoke to someone else this happened to and she said the towels dried out pretty quickly so I think I will just let it go. They aren't drenched.....I am pleased with the humidity level at 70%. I just didn't intend on having the eggs sitting on wet towels. That was an accident.

Yes! I do have a spray bottle ready, just in case I need a quick boost in humidity! Thanks for the reply!! Its my first incubator hatch.

Ahh I see, good luck! I have one egg due next week. It's very precious to me, the last remaining evidence of my previous flock - taken by a fox. :( Nou doubt ill be all over BYC asking for advice! Good luck!

ohh! good luck to you too. im so sorry to hear about the fox attack.
