IMO, as long as you have can provide enough clean water for the ducks to dip their heads in to clean out their bills and drink, a shelter, and food it is pretty easy from there. Having a place for them to bathe is nice but isnt going to kill them if you dont. I use a large rubber bowl to give them water which allows them to be able to stand in and clean off if desired in the winter but thats about it for water. However in the summer my ducks free range all day and have access to my man-made pond, which makes caring for them even easier. They eat less food and only need to be let out of their coop and run in the am and put away at dark with dinner. Im not claiming im an expert because im far from it but i did start my duck flock with just knowing the basics and my flock is as healthy as ever. You will be fine
