we have a predator nearby that could cause some serious harm. ( bear/s)
Not the norm here, is concerning to say the least.
Have seen them on my game cameras but need real live time continuous surveillance from my home.
Looking for security camera suggestions and below is what we need for our situation:
Want something that has a monitor I can keep on and in the house for continuous streaming during the wee hours of the night/morning.
Our house is about 300 ft. from the bird pens where this camera needs to be. There is power down in that area for a plug in device but I need that minimum range.
Don't want lights and/or sirens going off when something is detected ( that alone would spook the birds, especially a siren ) and of course this needs to be waterproof or at very least weather resistant.
Battery operated would be ideal and no wifi wanted if can get away with it.
Don't want to have to leave my computer or IPHONE on for viewing..want to be able to leave a monitor on by my bedside so I can hear/see any activity in the bird pens immediately and get down there loaded for bear if need be.
A baby monitor seems like it would be ideal but...am having a hard time finding one that will carry that far and is at the least weather resistant.
If any of you use what I'm describing please let me know asap, can leave a link here to a good product that would work.
Seems now through the next couple months are prime times for bears to be scrounging everywhere for food and don't want my birds to be their next meal !
Thanks !
