He doesn't look skinny to me. Maybe it's the angle of the picture. He looks like a what many hunting dogs in my area look like, condition wise. He does kind of look "houndy". Not uncommon for hunting dogs to go walkabout or get lost. Hope you can find the answer to this riddle! Good luck!
If it was me I would just go ahead and feed him.Hi,
Interesting situation, something for the past few nights has been breaking into my dog food container and stealing dry dog food.
I thought it was a raccoon, so I decided to set up my trail camera. I set it up last night. This morning, I reviewed the trail camera footage and found something interesting.

It was a stray dog. A VERY skinny, VERY hungry stray dog. No collar, so I assume he has no owner. On the other hand, he looks neutered, so I don’t know if he has an owner or not.
I need advice. On the one hand, I can’t have him keep eating Busters food. Buster is my dog, by the way.
On the other hand, I can’t let him starve to death. He is so skinny you can see his ribs.
What should I do? I really need advice.
Jared
If your up to it sit there with the foodFrom my point of view, he looked so skinny that you could see his ribs in one of the videos. Poor thing must’ve been starving. There’s evidence for this, as he did eat for quite a while. 10 minutes at least. We will see what he looks like if I catch him.
It is now 7:08 PM, I set out some dog food, and I am in position waiting to try and catch him.
