Yeah for some reason I don't think the homeowner is ok with me taking the duck or she would have called me back right away. I am gonna drop off some duck feed after work today along with a dog bowl of water for her so she doesn't have to go far for vittles. You could very well be right on how long she had benn sitting on those eggs. Too bad I didn't have my candling light when I was there and she had gotten off the nest. I could have candled them to see if they were even any good. They are sitting in soaking wet potting soil. It has been raining here for a few days straight. Wouldn't ya know my call duck hen just went broody too! If this hen was here and chose to stay off the eggs I could have slipped them under my duck! If I don't hear from the client by sunday I will call her back. I have left her 2 messages already.
