I have currently 6 roosters and 8 hens in my coop, They are approx 3 1/2 to 4 months old. I have one EE that just started crowing a few weeks ago and now he wont stop. He runs from me but chases another one of my roosters (production red) all over and wont leave him alone. As a matter of fact he stays in the coop most of the time cause the EE wont leave him alone. All the rest of the roosters seem to be getting along just fine. 2 questions....Will my EE continue to crow all day long? and 2nd What should I do about the EE chasing the other rooster all over the place. I know I am going to have to remove at least 4 of my roosters from the group but I still have not decided which ones to keep.

Keep your sweet roos. For the EE if you wanted to keep him you could look into a crow collar, does he have a high protein diet?

They are still on chick starter grower. And I throw about 1 1/2 to 2 cup of scratch out for them daily at two separate times a day like a cup in the morning and 1/2 to a cup in the evening and they have available food at all times in the coop.

Oh and in my first post I meant to say remove 4 roos....6 roos are too many for 11 hens (I have three 3 week old pullets as well not in the coop yet) I corrected my first post

I see no reason to tolerate an aggressive rooster, especially if you're having to weed out some anyway. And especially if you're planning on getting chicks out of them at some point, you don't want him passing on those undesirable traits. I'm sure you can easily find someone else that wants an EE roo!

So its not the protein causing the aggression. I agree with havery.
