Need some hatching buddies - Hatching May 24-28

I just got my remaining eggs in the mail. I had one cracked open out of 37, so that means that I will have 54 in the incubator. I am going to let them sit for a few hours then into the incubator they go to join their dominique and speckled sussex companions.

Just got BBS Orpingtons in the mail today from Lockedhearts. I will set them as soon as shipment # 2 arrives. A friend of mine's sister knew I wanted eggs so she is coincidentally sending me some BCM and Light Brahmas. Surprise! No idea if they are froma co-mingled flock or not so it will be an even bigger surprise. I have 16 of the Orps, so I hope she doesn't send more than a dozen cuz my home made incubator only will hold 24.

My friend just called and the mystery package arrived while she was at work. I will go over first thing in the morning to see how creative I am going to have to be with my incubator. I have heard of people stacking their eggies before...

I'm in too!!!! I set 10 BR turkey eggs on March 31, so they'll be ready 4/28 or 29 (they usually seem a little slow) and then last night I set 9 silkie eggs from a BYCer! I didn't realize until now that I set them so they'll hatch together!

Good thing I got addicted when I had a bit of extra money and I quickly bought another bator!

So I will probably use my hovabator as my bator and my LG as my hatcher.

I just set 16 barnyard mutt eggs for the first time. Four of them are my neighbor. I guess I would be due the 1st of May but with what I have read here could be early. So I am in if you will all have me.

btw, what incubator does everyone use? mine is just a little one, a lyon turn-x 6. it holds maximum 18 chicken eggs. and yhis is my very first hatch.
