need some help

HI, I am very new to chicken hatching and need some help. A friend has just lent me an incubator and gave me a dozen or so fertile eggs. I now know I should have regulated the incubator first but I started them without first doing that....ok that being said...the temp didn't regulate for about 30 hours to 99 degrees. It went as low as about 85 and as high as about 104, not for long, I checked it very frequently, so it wasn't high for long...but I am very concerned! Should I get new eggs?
Also, at the end, how do I increase the humidity? I was told to keep the pan at the bottom full of water at all times. Please help!
