Need some ideas please!

My daughter just bought a house that has an area she would like to turn into a coop. The carport has a lean to built off of one side. She wants turn that into small coop for 3-4 birds. The area is about 6ft x 3 ft, and about 6 feet tall. It was last used for storage. I just need some suggestions for closing in the space and leaving some ventilation. A pop-door and run will be added as well.

What kind of climate do you live in?

Of course. We're in western Nebraska. COLD and windy in the winter, hot in the summer. I should add that the opening in the picture is under the carport.

I would put a couple of windows in for light and summer ventilation. A door for people in the open side. Wall in that side but leave a bit of space at the top for ventilation, and cover it with hardware cloth. You will need to add nest boxes and perches, plus your pop door and run. Good luck!

What CF said, plus.....
I see some holes in the roof.
Metal can have a condensation problems, so don't skimp on ventilation.
You could put a big vent on the left wall as it's protected from the weather on the other side.

I would frame that opening and make it all a wire wall, with a people door. If it's to breezy in the winter you could hang a tarp or put plastic up part way, but not totally, so you still have good ventilation.

Seal those ceiling holes up. Use 1/2 inch hardware cloth over the gaps where roof and walls meet, they are good for a bit of ventilation. Close up the front and make a human door in it. Decide where the birds will run and put in a pop door. Predator proof the whole thing. And do what aart said.

Hey @aart - sorry for the no show!!! My daughter bought chicks - and left them at my house. They never did close in that shed. I'm a little disappointed because I thought it would be perfect for them!
