Hello, everyone! I am a chicken enthusiast and I am currently creating a chicken website, and the goal of my website is to help flock owners find the right breeds that suit them, and what hatcheries they can purchase them at. But, I have a problem!

I need pics of all different types of chicken breeds. I would really appreciate if people could send me some pics of their chickens, and the breed of the chickens. I would appreciate pictures of any chicken from Rhode Island reds or Leghorns, to Cochins and bantams. All help will be much appreciated!
Thank you!

hi Cackleberrycam,
I breed silkies, not sure if you want any info about them, but i'll give you some anyway.
my silkies are nice and friendly, my silkies roos are also friendly, but can be very protective of the silkie hens, if you try pick up my hens the roosters will be at over feet and making sure their hens are alright, I find it quite cute!!:)
I find that each hen might go broody a few times a year, at the start of last spring I had 2 out of 4 hens go broody.
about 2 years ago I brought 3 hen silkies and 1 roo silkie, they are all white but one hen is black, since I have started breeding them (I don't have an incubator I just use my hens) I have only gotten white silkies, never any that are black?? not sure why that has happened
their eggs are quite small, in cooking I usually use 2 silkies eggs instead of one 1 normal egg because they're so small. (their eggs are white)
they are very cute chooks, probably one of my favourite breed of chooks, they have mini affros and the fluffy feet!

anyway, I hope this helped
:)

These are my dear little silkie pets, great friendly. Feathers are like silk more like rabbit fur. Wonderful to cuddle and real characters. Great mother’s, you won’t need an incubator. They go clucky quite often and will raise duck eggs or other chook eggs when put under them. However if you want to break them from setting quite hard, I separate the one that wants to set into a seperate wire cage I call gaol, on the back verandah for three days and nights with water and food and plenty of fresh air under her to cool off that hormonal urge to want chicks. Works well then quite happy to go back in the coup with the other silkies. They come in various colours. Hope this helps
