All of my chicks have hatched, but one. I candled, can see movement. No pip, no peeping. Should I help it? I did have one with a pip that was shrink wrapped, helped her and she is drying off in the bator now. Unsure if I should wait on the other, or not.....

Also, never cracked the shell myself so not sure how I should do that. Thanks!! ;)

has it piped internally ? pretty hard to help them if it hasnt. you should see an all dark egg, or head in the air sack or be able to hear it peeping

are they bantam or large eggs? i have never got one to live if it hasnt already piped internally. if it is big egg i would wait a day but its your call. i use a sharp screw because i can get a grip on it better and start with a small hole in the air sack. you need to disinfect everything before you start. have some corn starch handy.if its not ready it will bleed out.

Most people would choose to let it be and wait for it to hatch itself, or die. The one thing that is giving me concern, is that your other chicks were shrinkwrapped, so I am wondering if she is too.

Making the external and internal pip for them is pretty risky. If you choose to do this, here is the information that I have. I have not performed it myself. Proceed with extreme caution. Read this first.
