Need some reassurance about a broody !

I have a BO sitting on 13 eggs in a deep nest. When I took her off to mark the eggs (to make sure no other hen added any more), I realized no one told the hen the rules about incubating! She has them layered 2 deep, some stacked on top of others, and the pointy end is up on some of them!

Is this normal? Does this effect the hatch rate?

Should I take the eggs and place them in the incubator??

Oh let her try JUst make sure the bedding is deep enough so they aren't breaking against one another. The pointy end will change the next time she rotates them
You can try spreading them out and see if she stacks them again.

LOL ! Yes, I tried spreading them into one layer; she hopped right in and started rearranging. No changing her mind, I guess.​
