Need suggestions for this fabric panel

I bought this panel on impulse because it's just so pretty but I am not sure what I should do with it. I want it to be a wall hanging for sure. Should I just slap a backing and binding onto it and quilt around on the borders? Help!!

I would use a attic window pattern, it makes it look like you are looking out of a window. There are many free patterns on line. I hope this was helpful!

The crane is actually a heron though.

Please post some pics of the finished project, it's going to be gorgeous no matter what you do!

If it's not to late I would cut the panels apart and use the window pane style like the other said, I would also incorporate other Asian prints into the over all design. I think that I might put the smaller squares above and under the main design, and use the Asian prints to widen out your windows. So you would get the effect of walls around your windows. Imho
