I have 10 pullets/Cockerels and trying to figure out which this one is. Daddy is a cochin and momma is an Easter egger. What are your thoughts. This baby is 9 weeks old in 2 days. Thanks so much.

That’s a difficult one! I always say wait, but if you’re looking for a mostly accurate way to tell, hold the bird upside down. If it settles down immediately, it’s supposably a hen, if it freaks out and can’t get itself settled, it’s supposed to be a cockerel. Good luck! Just by glancing though, looks like a pullet. Although it may be a slow developing cockerel. Best to wait it out. Worth a chance to guess though.

I generally sex my youngin's by their legs and thighs. Long & lanky legs belong to males. Your provided pics don't help me in my decision. Therefore I'm not going to just guess. If you provide a pic or 2 including the lower portion, I'll give it a whirl. Nice looking down I can tell you. :)

Turned out to be a pullet thanks for your reply.
