A word of advice, leave the "rehoming fee" part out if you advertise. I get alot of complaints from buyers that I sell to that say that is one of the reasons they chose me because I was "selling" a bird.

I agree. re-homing IS selling. Just say that you're selling it.

so what is it that you are selling? Dog? Rooster? Cow? Alpaca? And BTW, I skip ads that say re-homing. I think it sounds bogus.

It is a dog, I have always said in my adds that there is a "rehoming fee"

I don't say selling because we are just fostering these animals. Maybe I should just say adoption fee??? And the doggie we were fostering has already been adopted! Yay!!

When selling on craigslist it's best to never use the word rehoming fee. As soon as people see that they often skip over the ad or it's flagged. When people reply by email or calling that's the best time to mention there is a rehoming fee.

I thought you cant "sell" animals on CL.. you have to say "re-homing fee"... or "adoption fee".. dont you??

Technically you cannot sell "pets". Rehoming or adoption of a prohibited animal is a backdoor to legitimize your listing. They usually get flagged.
