My BCM hen went broody on me today! She is on the favorite nest of all of my birds and has taken to trying to hatch them. She did get off once that I saw after being chased away by the head hen, but promptly returned. I do not own a rooster, so no chicks. She screams at me and tries her best to "eat me up". I had to get my husband little pinecone picker upper thing to pull the eggs from under her. I replaced them with four ice cubes that did nothing. HELP! I need suggestions.
I am going to have to try to take her off by hand tomorrow and put out in the run. Man, she is grumpy and acutally kinda scares me.
