hi all!!
I have a broody hen sitting on eggs. but I also need to integrate some hens to the flock. should I wait or do it now while she is still sitting? the young ones I want to add are about 4 months. thanks in advance for all your help.

Adding new birds to the flock should have no effect on your broody... As long as you've introduced the new ones via look/see but don't touch and they aren't fighting through the fencing/barrier, I'd say go for it. You can always remove and re-position the broody with eggs to where the new birds used to be before being added if it becomes an issue.

Just watch for the new introductions picking on the broody while she is sitting. I have several hens that get along great until one goes broody and then the others turn into bullies for some reason and pick on her. :idunno
