need to know about roos

i just got a silky roo that is 6 weeks old.
i have 6 chickens. 2 BO 2 silkies and 1aracoa.
i need to know all i can about my roo, how he will affect my chickens and how to raise chicks in the coop with mama

My momma hen does pretty much all the chick raising work

she makes sure that they eat and drink, teaches them how to dust-bathe and scratch for tasty things. She chases everyone else away if they get to close.

ok thanks and ill keep an eye out for that...im probably gunna trim his spurs anyways just to be safe

Curious also... do u trim them just like you would a dogs nails, have to watch out for the quick?
