lays an olive green egg?

My mom has a mallard and a pekin and one of them is laying an olive green (really dark olive) egg. I was told that mallard, pekin and khaki campbell all lay white eggs. Something is not right.

Anyone have pictures to show me of each egg.

I read from someone here that black runners and cayugas lay dark green eggs.

My runners, when they start up laying, have a thick bloom on the egg that makes them look olive at first. Since the KCs were bred from runners, perhaps it's an early Khaki Campbell egg.

I have the Khaki Campbell's not my mom. My Khaki female is not even laying yet, not sure why??? She is older than any of them.

Makes me wonder if the mallard she has are mallards. I bought all the mallards and her 2 pekins at the same time, all about the same age. Our 2 pekins are younger than her 2.

These are my mom's ducks above. They were young in this picture, maybe 10 weeks old? I don't have any pics of ours right now and it is pouring the rain, so I won't be able to get any today.

Mallards don't lay white eggs, they lay green eggs.
You can also get green eggs from runners, cayugas, anconas, buffs, rouens (not often but possible)
If the mallards are a lot smaller than the pekins, and can fly, then they are most likely mallards. If they can't fly and are about the same size as the pekins, then they are most likely rouens. They are easily mistaken as ducklings
