Need to move 8 x 10 shed

Hee hee! That's pretty much how we moved the platform in our back yard that's going to be the floor of the coop! Two 12' galvanized pipes (one in front, one in back) rolled on 2x6s laid on the ground. Then just lever with an additional 2x6 and keep switching the pipes and 2x6s until you get it where you need it... It's easy when the kids are moving the bits around for you!!!

We had a similar experience one time.... but I'm lucky that my husband works for a construction company, so has access to their equipment. They used two skid loaders to pick the shed up and place it on the flatbed trailer. It wasn't too tall that we had to worry about bridges/powerlines, anything like that.

But one skid loader on each side, with two guys who knew what they were doing, and they did a great job!

OK, went to see the shed today....it's very cute, red with white trim, two big doors on the front. Pretty clean on the inside.

Went with my husband (auto teacher) and the wood shop teacher. The woods teacher has a set of axles that he uses to transport sheds on skids that his students build in class. He thinks if we mount the shed on some 2 x 10's and possible brace the inside with 2 x 4's, we'll be able to attach the axles and tongue and roll this shed 25 miles down the freeway to our house and place it in the pasture.

Do the happy dance!!! Moving day is June 21!!!!

this is what DH and I did years ago to move a shed onto the grape arbor to make it into a clubhouse for my DD. The 2 of us managed it on our own.Only instead of pipes we used telephone poles cause DH is a lineman and we had tons of them.
