In one post you said there could be up to 17 chicks, then in another that she's sitting on 12 marans eggs....how many does she have?? Have you been candling along the way?

Keep her there until they all hatch. I say this from experience. I tried to move a silkie and eggs and she got upset and cracked a few developed eggs. You won't have any problems after her chicks hatch.

Thank you everyone. She has 12 maran eggs, 3 ee eggs and 2 bo eggs. Last year we gave her 9 eggs and she kept stealing eggs, I don't think she thought she had enough.

So we stuffed her full this year until we started seeing shells.
