We are located in Vineland, NJ. At the end of last summer we got 4 "pullets". We were told that if any turned out to be roosters, they'd take them back. One turned out to be a rooster and they would not return contact about taking him back. We've spent a few months clearing up his bumblefoot so that he can find a good home but have been completely unsuccessful. He is friendly and will let you hold him, but also does a great job protecting our girls. As a result of having a rooster we now have 7 spring chicks. A family friend was lined up to take the chicks but was then given a bunch of chicks before ours hatched. We are looking to rehome:
1 NH Red Rooster (1 yr old) Purebred
2 EE hens (1 mth old)
1 Silver Laced Wyandotte/NH Red roo (1 mth old)
1 EE roo (1 mth old)
1 Buff orpington hen (1 yr old) Purebred
1 Ameraucana hen (1 yr old) Purebred
We adore them all but we are urban homesteaders and just don't have the space to accomodate them all with the great quality of life they deserve. We're trying to do what we can to find them good homes. We'd be willing to travel (within reason) to deliver them.
**We'll also be traveling to Charlottesville, Virginia this Thurs if anyone in route from here to there would be interested in them**
I'll try to add pictures as soon as I can
