Sexing 3-- Easter Egger, Splash Wyandotte, and Lavender Orpington

Perfect Princess is growing to be quite the attractive girl. They are all giving off pullet vibes to me.

Aaaand a 7 week update!

If Princess looks a little pink in this picture, she was startled by a flock of birds-- I feel like her comb gets pinker when she's running around or when it's very hot outside, is that a thing? It's otherwise still pretty pale. She looks very tall in these two pictures, but I do feel like she's ordinarily pretty squat.

I’m most experienced with Wyandottes, so I’ll chime in there. Male blue/splash laced Wyandottes start to develop patches of unlaced/solid red feathers on their shoulders/wings around 8-12 wks. This is more dependable than combs, IMO, because Wyandotte pullets often pink up early.
So far the plumage on yours says pullet, but watch the wings/shoulders overs the next couple of weeks.

It's been a couple weeks since I posted these lovely ladies! Here's the younger 2, now 10 weeks old.

Miss Princess Kay-- I'm pretty sure she is in fact a princess. Her feather quality is so trashy, which I'm hoping will improve as she molts into some big girl feathers. I'm pretty sure that's just a thing with these dilute feathers.

Beautiful Perfect Pickle she does still have a very crooked face, but it doesn't seem to be impacting her ability to eat at all, as out of the three she's definitely on the robust side.

Then, at 12 weeks old, sweet perfect Cornfritter:

I'm so curious as to what color eggs she will eventually produce, being an Easter Egger Crossing my fingers for green, but not getting my hopes up.

All 3 are so snuggly and sweet-- it was my birthday earlier this week, and we had some friends over to sit in the yard. All of them were happy to pick a lap to sit on.

They're now big enough that I'd like to get them out into the run... The tricky part is our existing pullet and cockerel, both about 16 weeks old. They have so far not been the most... welcoming.

Let me know if anyone sees any roos here, but I'm feeling pretty good about our first batch! 4/5 sexed correctly is not bad.

I think that Princess has pretty nice looking feathers, considering some of the dilutes that I have seen. And I do think that Pickle is perfect. Thanks for the updates.
