Need to replace our little buddy

[Fluffy Scramblepants]

Hi! I’m Mel. Have loved chickens my whole life, and my hubby and dad thoughtfully built me a open-air chicken coop! My chickens are now 19wks old and just started laying there first eggs.

We had one cockerel, which everyone adored—Fluffy Scramblepants. A sweet little bantam Rhode Island Red who we hoped would eventually breed with the other RIR bantams. Sadly, he died about a week ago from unknown causes. Now we have no males at all.

I’m just going to throw this out there: would anybody know of someone in the San Diego county area who happens to have a young RIR bantam male available for adoption or purchase?
