So sorry for your loss. You may want to find out why your little Roo died first before moving forward with your young flock in case you have a serious disease going on and could possible lose them all?

I know—I was totally wondering about that. They’ve all been vaccinated for Mareks and eating medicated chick feed. We use dedicated boots to go in the walk-in coop, and they are completely protected from other birds, squirrels, etc. He did have one broken feather the day before which had a little blood on it, but otherwise looked perfect (and there was no other blood detectable in the entire coop). I could tell he was feeling lethargic that day. Maybe poor genetics?
