Need to vent- I'm a little p.o at my chickens *sigh*

i had that proublem with the ones i raised. then i got some speckeled sussex at a animal auction and these chickens are so friendly and curious.they are so friendly i have a hard time walking around in there pen.Let alone doing any work in there.Im so glad i got them there now my favorite breed.
they are Charlie and his angels...
still wished the ones i raised who let me hold em and not run in terror from me like im some knife welding phsycopath..

Hehe, this is a funny thread.

Our chickens tend to play keep away as well, unless of course you have treats, or Silkiechicken yells "CHICKENS!!!" or carries the metal bowl that carries the goodies that they eat.

So in other words, unless they think they are going to get a treat, they stay away.

Now if we manage to catch one, they are usually calm, but flee once we put them back on the ground.

At night when they are in their coop they can be easily handled and moved around.
