Not my first time hatching, just my first time with turk eggs. I have 2 that made it out yesterday (day 21, pipped and zipped in a matter of a couple of hours) and another that pipped sometime last evening. This last one that pipped is not making progress, small hole. The humidity is now at 72% but the membrane seems extremely dry. Ok now I have to admit that I did give a bit of assistance since the membrance hole was so teeny tiny and this membrane is extremely leather like.
Is this normal and I'm worrying needlessly? I don't want to loose this little fella, and I know that helping can also be a bad thing. I know with chicks they peep loudly when they are getting stressed and get quiet as they tire, but goodness poults are so quiet thru the whole process.
Pic to follow once the whole hatch is complete so I can figure out what breed/s I ended up with.
TIA
