So I’m back with more questions.
This poor turkey that the seller left behind has been laying around miserably. He makes his way here and there but mostly stays in one spot. He barely eats or drinks. He’s lost all of his chest feathers and his tail feathers are looking pretty sorry.
I went out with water to try and bait him out of the chicken run to finally move him to the garage.
He sucked up the water like he hasn’t had any in weeks and is gurgling. We were able to get him into a tote and into my garage in an alcove under the stairs. He couldn’t even try to get away. He’s been eating and drinking for a solid 30 min.
I’m thinking he needs more help that what I can offer at this point.
I don’t know how to care for a turkey and the decline since we put the offer on the house is drastic. I think she abandoned her flock.
The chickens are doing fine. Thriving actually.
