Yesterday, I had to put down one of my roosters. He could not stand. Had loose stool on his tail feathers. Would not eat or drink. It came on very quickly.

Today one of my splash roosters did not come off of his perch. He was standing there with his eyes close. Let me pick him up. (very unusual) gave him some water with a syringe. He is acting lethargic like the other one. When he does move he is staggering. His crop is empty. His color is good, I see no abnormal stool laying around. He does not have any parasites that I can see. All of the other chickens are acting fine. He was acting fine yesterday too. I brought him out of the coop and placed him near the water and he just stands there lethargic. I have separated him from the others. He has food and water in with him. I have never had a chicken act like this and my fear is that I am going to have to put him down too. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated

I really at a loss as to what to do. Have had chickens now for over 4 years and have never had anything like this happen. These guys are all about a year old. I hatched them last year this time. Researching threads and hoping to find something

Change in symptoms. He now has very loose pale yellowish/white stool with a little green in it. More lethargic than yesterday. Gave him water via syringe and a little egg yolk and yogurt. He does not have much interest in it. I have him isolated from the others. All the stores are closed because it is easter sunday. Please help. I need to know what else I can do. Does is sound like needs some Corid. I dont know if I have much hope of saving him, but would like to keep it from getting the rest of my chickens. The others all seem to be ok at the moment.
Thank you

Seriously, no one is willing to give me any input or advice? I have lurked on this site for months. Reading all of the advice people give. The one time I ask for help, I get nothing. I guess I have to say my feelings are really hurt.

Okay Nickori just chill like you said its easter sunday most people other than me you and another couple chicken enthusest are not going on this site tonight so just calm down run your hands under the feathers around his neck it should be nice and warm. if not put him under a heat lamp. Next don't leave him unatended one second he could be getting better then ---------- . Don't force him to eat remember he SHOULD be asleep right know so let him nap just wake him up every couple of hours.

Wracking my brain for more advice... don't over heat...blablabla...aaaahhhhhaaaaa don't lose your cool just think of it as a chicken tummy illness it will probably pass on its all we can do is wait. Reading back over this it sounds intellagant for a 12 year old...

Thanks for the information. I actually posted this yesterday and got nothing so bumped it today. He feels good and warm. I am in Texas and the weather has been warm here. He is in reach or water and food. I am worried that this is something that is going to affect my whole flock and if antibiotics are needed at all.

If I treat with Corid, what is the amount of time that eggs will not be edible? I have read and re-read posts and this is the only thing that makes any sense.
