Okay so I need some reasurrance. I went out to check on Wilma's egg while she was swimming in her pool. It's day 26 today. Should I expect anything? I put it up to my ear and didn't here any peeping, nor has it pipped yet. Is this normal? Any advice would make me feel much better!

DO NOT GIVE LAYER FEED TO BABY CHICKS OR DUCKLINGS!!!! AND NEVER GIVE MEDICATED FEED TO DUCKS!!!

Layer feed has extra calcium in it that can cause kidney failure in birds that are not yet laying age. Medicated feed will kill baby ducks. Good luck with the hatch, and your hen is beautiful!!!! I have Khaki X Pekin eggs in the bator due to hatch next weekend

I don't know the answer to your question....I'm still waiting on my first duck eggs to hatch!!! Now I gotta watch this thread to see if I'm gonna be freakin out as bad as you next week....

Idk... When my mallards were about to hatch I heard peeping... good luck... I hope someone knows the answer

mine has been going off her nest alot more here lately too, she has had some eggs come up missing, but since its so close to hatching time , i think its normal.. that way the babies have plenty of room to hatch, thats just my opinion though.. let us know how it goes
