Hi I'm new to chickens and need a little advice, I have only had my chickens 3days.
They are all out feeding and drinking and walking around except my silkie, she won't come out the coop although she has been laying lovely eggs, I'm just worrying about her now and really don't want her to become ill. Thank you

Silkies don't really behave like regular chickens. Their sight is impaired by feathers, they don't fly or move well. If there is any elevation involved in going in or out of the coop that may be the problem.
Many here will blast me for this but I have friends with silkies and I call them fake chickens.

How old is your silkie? Silkies tend to go "broody," which means they want to sit and hatch eggs. When they are broody they often refuse to leave the nest even to eat or drink & poo. You have to force them outside, to take care of this at least 2-3 times a day, for their own health. If you don't have any roosters - she will wear herself out for nothing trying to hatch infertile eggs.

Thank you drumstick diva,My silkie is about 2years old and she'd be used to a rooster around until the Fox got it :-(
