Hi! I am having trouble finding out what hypodermic to use for vaccinations for Mareks in my four chicks, I don't have a fancy one! My cat takes insulin, can I just use those? Thanks!

Well that makes sense that the small vial of virus is powder, darn I was hoping to split mine as well to not waste it, but my four babies are worth $25 a piece they will be pampered pets, but I wish they made smaller batches! My question is can I just use an insulin hypodermic?

I use a 27 Guage needle, I've purchased these below, and they have worked well. I'm about 100 chicks in to this vaccinating business. I don't know enough about needles to advise on 27g vs 30g.
Elimedical Veterinary Insulin Syringe, U-100, 1cc (1ml), 27G x 1/2 inch (12.7mm), Individually Packed, for Pet Cat or Dog, 100 per box, 10LDS2713B https://a.co/d/fy6zF7z
I was told to do 0.2mL for bantams as well as LF. I have done several tiny bantams this year with that dose and no issues. Bantams are challenging to vaccinate due to their small size, it's best with two people, one holding the chick and one doing the injection. Be very careful inserting the needle just under the skin, it is easy to go too deep, just take your time.
