Needs for new chicks

Hi all. I'm new to the forum although I've been lurking for quite a while. I'll be finally getting chicks next month (Yayyyy!!) and I'd like some suggestions as to what I need to have on hand when they get here, like vitamins, medications that I might need quickly if there are problems, etc.

Getting wood to start my coop and run this weekend. I'm planning a 4 x 10 ft coop with an 8 x 16 ft run. I'm planning on 10 red sussex hens. Is that enough room?

Any suggestions for a newby are most welcome! I have gotten so many great ideas here! This site rocks!

I think you should be ok. The general rule of thumb is 4 sq.ft per bird in the coop and 10 sq. ft in the run. Enjoy your new chickens!!!
