Hi everyone, I have successfully incubated and raised both chicken and duck eggs, now in my incubator I have one Goose egg, Only want the one goose to add to the flock as a security guard to alarm me and the dog if Mr fox arrives.!!!
Candling this goose egg has proved to be difficult, I'm only using a flash light ( LED torch) , I have just candled it but as I'm turning egg over the torch and as I'm turning the shaded grey shadow is following the light , its like watching cloud over the moon in scary movies!!!, it just moves around the way I'm turning the egg, I'm talking about the whole shaded grey area and not just a small shadow.
Question is. Is it still alive????? No smells from egg, cant see any veining but then as I said its only a cheap torch, was fine for the ducks and chickens, but suppose the goose egg is a thicker tougher shell.
Also what are you opinions on buying a proper Candler ????, I've been looking at the Brinsea brand !!!! Anyone recommend ???
.
Will appreciate your thoughts and input many thanks
