Neighbor came over yesterday to talk to us about our chickens., need some advice

This is copied from your zoning code (some of the information did not line up correctly). I've highlighted the pertinent information:

Section 201. SPECIFIC TERMS
...
Intensive Agriculture - Specialized agricultural activities including, but not limited to, mushroom, pig, poultry,
Necessitates development of specialized sanitary facilities and controls as determined by The
Nutrient Management Act (3 P. S. $3 1701--1718) or,
Qualifies as a Concentrated Animal Operation as defined in the Pennsylvania Code (25 Pa
Code 3 83).

So you are allowed your poultry unless it meets the definition immediately above as Intensive Agriculture. I see no limit of 4 birds in your zone.

I think what you might be thinking of is zoning regulating what you can build on your property....Now I'm not sure of the exact number of chicken's I can have before the Dept. of Ag. steps in but it is well over 100....My zoning says that the primary use of the ground must be for a Residence....So by that zoning I can put basically whatever I want here as long as my house stays occupied as the primary use of the property.....I could not knock my house down or abandon it and use the property for primarly chickens or anything else...

I'm sorry but my internet keeps dropping out....We are getting the same cold front that hit the mid west today....Lots of wind keeps knocking my net out

Ok these are the actual Borough Codes from the Commonwealth.....What I suggest you do is read these and if you would like a copy you can get them from your local Rep or even send me a private message and i'll copy them and mail them to you.....Go to your township building and ask the Secretary if they have any ordinance pertaining to poultry.....If not then you are good to go....If they do then you must follow that ordinance and if i'm not mistaken I did see in the Zoning that you must have a fence if you have any farm animals.....Just make sure you have all your ducks in a row and you will be fine....

Sonoran I'm not trying to pee on your shoes and start an argument.....By no means....But I went through all of the hoops so to say to make sure I could have my girls and with this person being literally very close to where I live i'm just trying to steer her in the right direction since i've already done all of the footwork
