neighbor dog vs my ladies HELP

My neighbors dog dug under the fence last night and killed one and maimed my favorite lady, Monkey Butt. She is bald on her butt and has two bite wounds that are oozing a little blood. She cannot stand. What can I do? I do not want to kill her, I love her the most. Anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone had a hen live after such injuries? Thank you.

yes...I had a Brown Leghorn hen get mauled by three dogs...broken wing, two deep punctures in her back...not standing or walking for two days...your girl is shocky...put her in a quiet, warm spot alone and just let her chill and recover...yogurt, electrolytes, anti-biotics for a few days...I put some topical on her wounds just to keep the flies and knats from pestering her...she can survive...unless there are internal injuries...that could make a big difference...fortunately for my girl she had no internal damage...

Oh I hope so...my girl looked pretty ragged for a time but made a full recovery...I did have to remove part of her wing...my vet would not even talk to me about treating a chicken...his advice was to make soup...I found that terribly offensive...I amputated that wing myself...used quick stop...after she began to feel better and heal, I put her with two very gentle Cochins for companionship and that seemed to help her spirts...she is alive and well and gives me a large white egg every day...

You can search these forums for slings. A number of people here have rehabbed chickens that couldn't stand.
