Hi,
I'm new here. The only thing I've ever done with birds is hunt them and eat them. My neighbor kid texted me the other day, because for some reason they won't call with the same device they use to text. He was excited about raising quail. I thought it would be fun to free range them, but I'm not sure this will work.
I'm pretty excited about it now also. I have a play structure in my yard that can be converted into a coop. I'll post a picture here for ideas. We are looking at getting some quail around the end of December. I have no idea where to start, so any help will be appreciated.
I'm thinking about running another roof structure along the top of the swings. This somehow building it all in. The second story may be too tall to get the quail to walk up. I'm also thinking of putting a floor in the bottom room so I can clean it out.
