neighbors dogs

OMG - You HAVE to feed it Salmon!!!!!!!! I made the mistake of feeding my lab & shi tsu dogs a small amount of salmon (as a treat - duh) and they made such awful stinky runny diarreah alllll over the living room. It was so gross. That would do it for SURE!!!!!! I love this idea!!!!!!!!! LOL!

Also, are you allowed to just shoot a dog, even if it's on your property? I would check into it before I even warned them first, to make sure it's within your rights. I know that sounds wierd, but in some places (I'm originally from CA) you could actually get sued if you shot an animal, even if it was on your property. Kind of like the lawsuit where the robber was on someones roof and sued them because he broke his leg when he fell through their roof...he got a ton of money. Just be careful - you don't want it to turn into something even worse than what you've already been through, losing your babies.

I can certainly sympathize with anyone who has had to deal with a livestock killing dog. To the OP, if your neighbors are coopertive in other ways, is it possible that they could be made to understand how upsetting it is to find one of your birds dead? That it's more than a financial loss? I don't agree that every dog must be fenced. I have a Border Collie/Springer Spaniel who only goes outside with me or my son. He is fully voice trained and he won't touch a female in heat when I say "No." I lived in a more rural area some years ago. My neighbors and I all had more dogs than we really wanted( due to dumping) but none of them harmed chickens or other stock.

Animal Control told me I had the right to shoot to kill the dog. They also said if someone called the Sheriff, I could be arrested, since they don't agree and see it as animal cruelty.
I don't even have a gun.
I've only seen the dog out there 2 times, only would have had a chance for a shot once.. (in three months) The other times, it was his hair on the fence or cage.. or his huge footprints in the moist dirt.

Why in the world am I the one that has to kill the dog?
I'm thinking I am going to go over there at about 2 am and start banging some pots and pans.. and kick some of his stuff around.. and tear a few things up.. Then I will dump some dog poop on HIS front yard. (although I'll have to save my dog's poop for a week to amount to one of his dog's dumps) Then I'll say.. THIS is what I have to deal with from YOUR dog.. How does it feel to deal with it from MINE??? Not to mention the loss of my dear pets!!!!!!

I love the Salmon idea.. but he poops here, not at home! LOL
