Hey guys, my neighbor next door is fumigating their house. They have one of those tents. I’m afraid it might poisonous my chickens if they’re right next to it. They’re coop is right aginast the wall nest to the house. Is it safe? Should I still let them free range? Should move them? Please help. Thanks in advance!

It’s one of these tents. I don’t know if it completely blocks out her poison. Also talking about it to my neighbor is not an option. It’s their house not mine. They could do whatever they want with it.

Just as a precaution, I think I would move them as well.. if you have a large dog cage or something that might work, I've got a great big one that my friends Pit Bull would be comfortable in, I'd guess something that size would be ok for 7 hens.

UPDATE** So my chickens are fine. :) They seem fine and are acting normal. None of them seem sick or are dead. Thank goodness.

Good! As I understand, it is fairly common to tent and treat for termites in SoCal. A relative lives there and has had to vacate a couple of places for a few days due to tenting/fumigating. Inside the tent is bad for living creatures but outside is ok. It’s so population dense in many of those areas that many animals like your chickens are up near the fumigation tents, and can’t go much farther away.

I’m glad your chickens are fine!!
