She hasn't been able to actually hatch any eggs. she has been sitting for two months straight. the first 21 days it was our fault for letting her sit with other hens in the same coop. resulting in mixed up eggs
the second time ... I dunno they just didn't hatch. I went in this morning, a week after they should have hatched and the eggs weren't that warm. is it possible she got up for too long?
I decided I had enough of this and gave her chicks I had in my brooder. 10, one week old delawares. She has been sitting there for so long she needs this
but now i'm nervous. will she keep my chicks warm if she didn't keep her eggs warm enough? will crying chicks remind her to keep them warm?
my husband gives her credit for sticking with it for that long. I guess I could giver her that for persistance
    what do you think?
