I have a drake khaki campbell and I've noticed him coughing the last two weeks. It's not all the time either. Could he be coughing when he gets all worked up? I put straw down the other night while they were in their outdoor pen. The khaki campbell and swedish drake both started coughing. And we're both very sure the straw was going to jump up and get them. I thought maybe it was the dust and getting excited. Then I watched them over the next few days and no coughing. Acting/eating/swimming normal. Last night I took our baby cayugas out in the yard to play. The khaki campbell and swedish drakes were visibly upset they were out there (they were in their pen and couldn't get to them). They paced and paced their pen trying to get to the ducklings. Then my KC started coughing a little. Is their such a thing as a nervous cough? They aren't doing the gaping thing either.
