Nervous goose mom

The weather finally held up so we put our two 8 week old goslings outside in their new pen. Plenty of grass, a nice big XL dog house and all of their toys are out there but they keep pacing and looking for us. Should I lock them in their house tonight? The run is wrapped in hardware cloth but probably feels very “big” and scary to them right now. I feel guilty I thought they would love getting out of their brooder pen in the basement but they are terrified! Lol

Update: they are lounging now! Phew! Still spying on me from the windows but

My geese were more nervous than I thought they’d be, too. Sweet babies just want their mama. They will get used to it with time. It’s great that they’re lounging about now.
