Simple Solution

With a cut down the center of the paint tray one can insert or take out a portion to customize the tray to your particular nest box width.

Love it, and so simple. Looks like it will solve the problem.

I assume you have no "litter" in the trays, looks like duct tape over the tray bottoms?
