OK at the time being all of our chickens are cramming themselves in one medium sized dog crate. But now some of our hens are starting to lay eggs. We are getting about 3 eggs a day from our bantams. I was wondering what others are using for nest boxes. The coop we have our chickens in now is semi-temporary because Me, my sister, and mom will hopefully be building a new coop while we are on Christmas break. YEAH! I was just wondering what I could use as a temporary solutions to this dilema. Because it is rather funny to all 12 of our chickens crammed in this dog crate.

I use milk crates for my nest boxes..but if your bantams are old enough to be laying, I have to wonder whey they are not roosting.
By craming into the boxes, were you talking about at night when they are sleeping?

I'm assuming they are using the crate for laying, not living. With that there are lots of choices like buckets, milk crates, storage boxes even cardboard boxes would work. If all 12 are living in the dog crate, nests are the least of your problems. Just look around, and be creative. They still may have the tendancies to all pile to the same nest no matter what.
