Has anyone ever used those light weight wooden tangerine
boxes for a nest box? My husband eats a lot of tangerines
during the winter and I would like to recycle them.

I've read about people using those plastic milk crates for nesting boxes quite often so I assume if they're the same size they should work, might need to modify them a little to make sure eggs to slip through gaps or something.

The boxes that I get seem to be too small for a reg size hen, but if you think yours are big enough I dont see why not. My cousin has in a pinch used plastic milk crates. I am guessing those crates are 12"x12" maybe bigger. she lays them on their side and adds bedding.
