Hi everyone, I haven't posted in awhile.......But here I am (if it really matters lol).

I have some Midget White and Bourbon Red turkeys, in separate coops.
It is time for me to process the the "toms" or sell some off.
I have 1 extra MW and several BR toms.

But what I really need info on is; the size of nest boxes and where to place them?

I got the birds sometime in July, so it may be close to nesting time.

I plan on 3 MW hens and 1 tom, and I think I have 3-4 BR hens and keep 1 tom.

Any help and pix would be great.

Ours always liked laying low near or on the ground. We used old apple grates (James Crates). But this year we plan on using large totes and cutting a hole in the end. They can be fastened to the wall with screws. Hope this helps.

I have nest boxes 1' wide, 2' long, & 6" deep that are about 2' off of the ground. Sometimes they use them, sometimes they nest on the floor, in the corner, & sometimes outside under the burn pile. They're not real picky as to where they lay.

Thanx for the input...

This gives me some good ideas, but need to rearrange my coops to fit boxes and add a few more roosts.

Thanx, Brian
