I'm in the process of building another coop. I haven't framed the wall where I want the nest boxes to go yet. I'm thinking of framing it into the wall, a 12x12x12 nestbox 3 wide, so that only 8 inches extend into the coop. I was hoping to see photos of your current set up, whatever it may be. Thanks in advance!

Here's mine in my new coop. Mary (the Warden) was going to get rid of it, so I snatched it up! I propped it up on spare chunks of 2X6 to elevate it so poopy shavings wouldn't be kicked in the nest. It's working great!

I have nest boxes in all the coops, but my favorite is the rear rollout nest box in the coop I built.

From the inside, before it was complete with perch:

Here are the nesting boxes my dad and I built from a $2 scrap board of quarter inch plywood.
Its 12x24x12 with a 2" rise so the lid can attach on a slant and be opened for egg collection. We plan on attaching it to side of the coop so we don't have to bend down into our very short coop and run to collect the eggs everyday.
