Nest Boxes for my coop....

I have 13 hens - and they all fight over the same two nest boxes. They pace back and forth waiting for the other hens to get out of their "favorite" box... I have four nest boxes and they like the bottom two. If I pick up a hen and put her up on the top ledge, she will go in and lay her egg, but tomorrrow, she will be back fighting for the other two.

I am using new plastic buckets from TSC. I bought the lids to go with them and just cut out the size hole I wanted. Right now they are just sitting on the floor, but I do plan on building a sort of rack to hold them up off the floor...it has just been too hot! I have been working on my coop since July and I am DONE for now! Here is a pic of them...I will be able to take them out and wash/disinfect them very easily.
