Nest boxes idea that works

Very good idea. I have two milk crates I was going to use to start but I like that idea for my big butt girls (Light Brahma and BAs).

I used a larger drawer salvaged from a camper my son tore apart. I cut a cabinet door to fit and slid in in the middle to make 2 boxes. Easy, quick after I found 2 eggs and they like it.

That is a great idea. I have founf that 5 gallon buckets work great also. I will give the dish pan a try too b/c I have a hen that kicks EVERYTHING out. Thanks for sharing.

We used dish pans, too.

Now... if only the girls would start laying.

I started out with using just four pans, but the girls would not use them, so I took them and cut out openings and drilled four holes and used zip ties and now they love them! Not bad for a for less than 5 dollars and so easy to clean.
