Nest Boxes

Could someone please tell me how many nest boxes I should have for 35 hens, thanks I am new at this.

I'm guessing about 15 should work...i say that because i have 5 hens and even though i have 4 nestboxes, they all fight and only lay in one corner box (prime real estate location i guess. lol)

I would say no more than 10 nesting boxes. I have about 90 laying hens, 30 nesting boxes and they only use about 15 nesting boxes. Go figure.

I have 37 hens and six nestboxes--it's less than ideal, but so far all the eggs get laid in the right place. One for every four hens is the number that I hear recommended, so nine nestboxes should support your number of hens.

I have 12 nesting boxes for 11 hens ( I used to have alot more chickens). They use 2 boxes

but at least its easy for me to collect eggs

yes ten and i betcha they use only 4 or 5
